So we're trying to get rid of my piece of shit jeep which I owe more on than it's worth but that we can afford to swallow that difference with a decently priced newer vehicle.
After work on Friday me and Andy went to a couple of places looking. We ended up at this Crysler/Jeep/Pontiac dealer. Andy's looking and decides on two vans he likes. One's a big mother fucking conversion van and the other was a mini van. Andy knew I'd never be able to drive the bigger van so we decided on the mini van. He test drove it and liked it and we sat down with the sales guy to work out a deal.
The sales guy comes back with less for the Jeep than we thought and more on the payments than we thought. (Oh yeah, and sticker price on this van was about 12,900 marked down to about 11,500.) So I got mad and said we were gonna go to the Nissan dealer because we walked in and pretty much said THIS is how much we want for our trade and THIS is how much we want to pay for this truck and THIS is how much we want our payments. The sales guy asks what would make us happy and we said $1500 for the Jeep (they were trying to give us $1000) and payments of $275 (they were trying to make us pay like $340 when I pay that much a month for my truck that costs $7000 more than this van!!!). So he leaves and comes back with what we wanted, $1500 for the Jeep and $275/mo payments.
OK cool. It was already late so we said we'd come back on Saturday to start the paperwork. Saturday Andy's not feeling too good about the deal and said he just wanted to go back to the dealer and get all our paperwork back that we filled out with our SS#s and everything on it. He went in and started shit with one of the managers. I waited in the car but then Andy waves for me to come inside. The manager offered us the van at HIS price being $9,500 ($2000 less than the marked down sticker price and offered halfway between the Jeep estimate and what we wanted-$1,250.
Cool. Problem is they couldn't get ahold of the bank in Ohio to get the payoff amount on the Jeep cause it was Saturday and they were probably closed. They filled out a little paper though and let us take the van and leave the Jeep anyways. I told them Andy was going to be in the field all week so they could call me to come sign papers but he wouldn't be able to sign his until atleast Fri but probably Saturday.
So we got a van.... PART 1. I have a migraine right now regarding this van and some random other stuff so I'll write part 2 later maybe. |

Thats cool that they dropped the van down for ya. I'm sure that once they get a hold of your bank/jeep dealer back in Ohio everything will be just fine. Sorry to hear about your head ache. What kind of car did you get? I know it's a mini but what kind? Are you going to post any pictures? anyways, take care babe
There's more to the story. My post was already so long I had to take a break! It's a Chrysler Voyager. It's silver and yeah, I'll get around to posting pictures soon. :) | |
